I spent several weeks doing research before buying the machine. I had performance and cost specs I needed to meet and I wanted to make sure the tool I purchaced was worth buying. I found the TAIG DSLS 3000 was the answer I was looking for. A 4 axis machine with closed loop control for around $4k. Nothing else compares.
I had the need for a vacuum clamping table but didn't want to pay hundreds of dollars for one. So I made one.
This is my second attempt at building a circuit board with my CNC machine.
I recently started a project (not publicly announced yet) that requires me to build 100+ identical electromagnetic coils. Unfortunately what I need is not an off the shelf component so I have to make all the coils. In the interest of uniformity I decided to make a simple machine to do the work for me.
I had a co-worker ask me to build him some riser blocks for the handle bars on his motor cycle. No problem. I had some 3/4" thich aluminum pieces in the metal bin waiting for just such a project.
